Home Away From Home

It is now our 3rd day in Prague and we have never felt more comfortable! Although we have just arrived, we now feel like a part of the city rather than just visitors. Today we had to walk to  lecture on our own for the first time! At first it seemed a little intimidating, but together we managed to cross the Charles Bridge and find our way.

Karel Cudlin, our guest speaker, was extremely inspirational this morning in lecture. The photos he shared with us were breathtaking grayscale images that he had shot in Prague over his many years as a photographer. Some were from the 60s, others from the 90s, but no matter what the date, each image told us a story.

We enjoy lecture, not only because we are learning more about photography, but also because we are able to spend time and laugh with each other!

After lecture, we all went exploring through the streets of Prague and came across some remarkable sights such as the Lennon Wall, “The Dancing Building”. As usual, we were enamored and intrigued.

Toward the end of our excursion, we came across a wall posing the question “What do you want to do before you die?”. So we answered…IMG_3266IMG_3273

In the closing of day 3, I can say that we have learned and experienced much more than we could have imagined. We are still craving craving more!
